Micro-project grants

Micro-project grants support local, short term activities among emerging community-based organisations at the ward or community level.

These grants are typically for one-off activities that last three to six months.

What they are for:

Micro-project grants focus on local government accountability efforts by grass-roots organisations, district councils, community-based organisations and ward development committees. In line with the ENCISS inclusion policy, gender-based organisations and for people living with disability are particulary encouraged to apply.

In the second call for grants, ENCISS invites applications for micro-project grants that focus on the current six operational areas of the programme:

  • Southern Province - Bonthe district
  • Northern Province - Bombali and Koinadgu districts
  • Western Province - Western Rural
  • Eastern Province - Kenema and Kailahun

ENCISS focuses on five thematic areas. In the second call for grants, applications focused on the thematic areas of decentralisation and youth are particularly encouraged although applications will be accepted and treated equally for all thematic areas.
