ENCISS awards grants

ENCISS is pleased to announce that grants worth £1,579,023 have been awarded to civil society organisations and the Government of Sierra Leone. These grants have been awarded following the first call for grant applications in the third phase of the ENCISS programme.

These grants are funded by the UKaid from the UK Government’s Department for International Development and the European Union (EU).

The 48 projects embarked upon with funds from the grants will help to strengthen the relationship between state and non-state actors to promote pro-poor policies in Sierra Leone. The aim is to improve accountability, strengthen citizens’ voice and participation in decision-making and to improve access to information.

The disbursement of the grants are made to the projects in tranches, every three months, after the submission of satisfactory quarterly financial and narrative reports.
