Apply for a grant

ENCISS invites applications for grant funding to support and strengthen the relationship between citizens and the state

The invitation for applications was launched on Friday 27 January 2012 at an event at the British Council in Freetown attended by representatives from civil society, government and the media. There were regional events held in Makeni, Mattru and Kenema.

There are two types of grant funding available in this grant call. Firstly, project grants to support work at a national level through coalitions and networks or for activities of individual organisations in a particular district or across a number of districts. Project grants typically run for 12 months.

The second type of grant funding available is for micro-projects. These grant awards support local, short-term activities at the ward or community level by grass roots, community based organisations, district councils or ward development committees. Micro-project grants typically support one-off activities that last for three to six months.

The deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest form is 21 February 2012
